Climate Leadership
Designed for

The Philippines

A cohort-based learning program for professionals, advocates, and changemakers ready to bridge climate competence to real-world impact. It builds a rigorous, systemic understanding of the climate crisis and translates that understanding into meaningful personal, organizational, and community action.

The course is built on four interlocking principles drawn from leading climate education research. Systems before sectors. Local first, then global. Knowledge, Competencies, and Identity.

Starts May 2026 • Cohort-based • Online • Transdisciplinary • Systems-thinking approach

"Long before the world had a word for it, The Philippines already knew what it felt like."

"Long before the world had a word for it,
The Philippines already knew what it felt like."

You’ve seen the typhoons getting stronger. You’ve felt the heat rising. You want to do your part. You want to learn, but global climate courses cost ₱100k+ and focus on problems that don’t look like ours, like melting Arctic ice caps. Statistics from cities we’ve never been to.

Meanwhile, your community floods every rainy season. Farms are failing on a schedule nobody predicted. Most schools and companies have no plans when a typhoon hits. We get up and rebuild the damage.

We’re told this is simply our geography. Our misfortune. As if we were born on the wrong side of the planet and have no choice but to endure it.

What’s happening on the other side of the world affects us. But how? You need to understand the science and know how to build resilience in your community right now.

Built on Leading Climate Education Research

We didn’t guess. We designed this course based on proven frameworks from UNESCO, NAAEE, and peer-reviewed climate education research.

The Bicycle Model (Cantell et al.)

All ten wheels must turn together: Knowledge, Thinking Skills, Values, Identity, Worldview, Action, Motivation, Participation, Future Orientation, Hope & Emotions. We integrate all ten.

Stages of Behavior Change
(Prochaska & DiClemente)

We meet learners where they are — from pre-contemplation to action to maintenance — rather than assuming everyone is ready to act.

Narrative Identity Approach

Learners build a “climate-caring” self-concept through photo-storytelling, personal reflection, and connecting climate realities to lived experience.

Transdisciplinary Learning

Non-academic stakeholders — farmers, indigenous peoples, LGU officers — are brought in as knowledge holders, not just audiences.

Systems Thinking as Default Lens (Donella Meadows)

Every topic is analyzed through environmental, social, and economic dimensions simultaneously. Climate is an interconnected web, not a list of isolated problems.

Project-Based Learning (PBL)

A powerful approach to fostering climate literacy by helping learners understand the complexities of climate change, its impacts, and potential solutions while developing critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I work full-time. Do I have time for this?

A: Yes. We designed this for working Filipinos. 4-6 hours/week. Mobile-optimized. Live sessions are recorded. Your cohort will include other busy professionals.

A: Not at all. You need curiosity, not credentials. Tanging Tahanan is designed for people from all backgrounds — whether you work in business, education, the arts, government, or anywhere else. We translate the science into language that’s clear and actionable, so you can engage with the material meaningfully regardless of your academic background.

A: YouTube gives you information. This program gives you understanding. We researched and designed the learning program and its content. Plus, you join a community to think alongside. Tanging Tahanan is structured to help you connect the dots, apply what you’re learning to your own context, and work through ideas with peers who are just as invested as you are. The cohort format also means you’re accountable to something (and someone) beyond an autoplay queue.

A: Yes. If you decide the program isn’t the right fit, you can request a full refund within 14 days from the course kickoff, no questions asked. After that period, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. If you’re on the fence, we’d rather you reach out and talk it through with us. We want you here because it’s genuinely the right time for you, not because the refund window closed.

A: It might, but that’s not the only reason to join. Tanging Tahanan will sharpen how you think about climate, give you a stronger foundation to speak and act on it, and connect you with a network of like-minded people. Whether you’re pivoting careers or looking to bring more climate literacy into the work you already do, this program gives you something real to build on. It’s not a job placement program, but it’s the kind of learning that tends to open doors.

A: Life happens. All live sessions will be recorded and made available to enrolled participants so that you can catch up on your own time. That said, the live sessions are where much of the good work happens: the interactions, discussions, questions, and spontaneous connections. So we encourage you to attend when you can. There’s magic in showing up!
